01/11/26 - finally something!
i got film for my polaroid camera this weekend and spent a decent amount of time tinkering around trying to get ahold of the settings. the camera is pretty old, and i was given it from a friend, so i had to figure it out and soon realized the flash doesn't work, because the model was quite literally built without one. it's news to me that they made models without it, given it seems so crucial to a polaroid.
while trying to set up a photo, i slowly picked up Noumena from her enclosure and placed her on the Enochian prayermat beside their tank, where she began moving around immediately! before, when i would pick her up, she would feign death instantly as a quick defense mechanism. it seems that in these months she's realy grown accustomed to me and is a lot more comfortable being handled. she is the cutest!
the photos i took were horribly accidentally underexposed as i have no experience with polaroids and lackluster light sources, so they may just be the creepiest photos i have ever taken of my beetles. this is terrifying.

i made a little beetle dollhouse and put photos of my best friends on the second floor so they can see their extended family if they want
08/11/26 - updates
been far too long since i updated this blog, dilapidated and insulated from the rest of my site.
i finally got around to brushing the dust off of this site, updating the beetle section to list the critters i obtained, finally integrating this section + the photos section into the rest of the site by displaying it in the index.
